It's official...

I have turned into a gaming nerd. I am becoming slightly obsessed with Sonic The HedgeHog, The old version from the Sega Master System II. I got this console for Christmas one year and I didn't get any games with it, so I played the built in game to death, which was Alex Kidd. I never beat the damn game. Until about 2 weeks ago. I finally finished the damn game and it only took me something like 12 years or so.

Now... I've found Sonic and he's a whole new story. I never played Sonic on the Master System but I did manage to play it on my sisters Mega Drive (not this version though). Anway... It was fun in the beginning, because it was a new game that I had never tried but now I am starting to get shitty coz I can't beat certain stuff.

However... Thank GOD for the internet. Two words - Cheats - Walkthroughs... Wooohooo... At least I chose the right time of the technology decade for my gaming habbits to take hold, coz the internet is such a wonderful thing and is plentiful on the gaming advice - even for 12 year old games.

How?... Well, you remember when Adam was obsessed with Mario Cart... (He won't admit it.. but he was... My obsession hasn't stopped me from my motherly and "wife" duties) Well he found an Emulator for the Mac and the rest as they say... is history.

I am now getting close to the end. If you've ever played the game, I am in the Labyrinth (The First Act - The water part) and I HATE IT!!! How the HELL are you supposed to move in the water... Then there's the whole drowning thing if you don't have air..

Lucky... For me that due to the fact that this is an Emulated version, I can freeze and defrost game states. So... cheeky little me can freeze a game state in the middle or just after I have gotten through a difficult part so that if I die soon after, I can restart the game from the point of my last save and keep going from there... No restarting the level for ME!! And the cooles thing about that is - I retail all of my collected goodies i.e. coins including all of my lives! So far I have about 15 lives...

Anyway... I don't care what the rest of you nerds say about my choice in games and console... I was made in the 80's, grew up in the 90's and I guess my gaming heart is still there...

Sega... FOREVER!!!
