Back to Tongatapu...
What a drama... We had a 8am flight booked and so had to get to the airport by 7, which we did. But our flight was cancelled.. Apparently there was an announcment over the radio that everyone heard... Except us... Being that we don't understand a heck of a lot of Tongan... and that we didn't have access to a radio... So yeah... Our flight was supposed to be at 9:30am then, and then changed again to 10:30am eventually at around 11.. which is better than the 4:30pm flight that the other couple were told about.. Their original flight was at 9:15am.. hehehe Surprisingly the time spent at the aiport went QUICK. We spent time people watching and talking to the couple from the UK (Marc and Dalya) and two other guys from the UK that also turned up early to the airport.

We had to wait for a bigger airplane to come in from Fiji... Marc is a piolet and said the plane is an old Kiwi plane... The kiwi part wasn't as scary as the old part... The take off and landing was quite shite.. but the rest of the flight was nice and smooth... A biger planet than the little sea plane we took to Vava'u... A lot more room.. and really, there needed to be.... A) Coz there were a heck of a lot of people and B) Coz 99.9% of those people were Tongan.... Need I say more... :P

We people watched coz though there were about 40 or so people flying, there were about 100 or so people at the airport... So yeah, most were family members fairwelling their loved ones... They literally turned up by the truck loads.. I think that's so cool though... To want to say good-bye to your loved ones coz you'll miss them sooo much.... If the rest of the world were as warm and friendly and loving as Tongans (even just within their own families... just like the fobs) then the world would such a better place.

Once we finally got out of the airport, we took a long drive home... You'd be amazed at the crazy traffic we endured... Everyone was marketing getting ready for Sunday... But we finally arrived at Steve's, had a kip and now we feel much better... Steve made an AWESOME dinner... He bought a MASSIVE tuna steak and cooked it Steve style, as well as some roast garlic, carrots and onions... It was absolutely delicious... Even Adam enjoyed it... and he HATES fish/tuna...

We were goind to do another feast but the one we wanted to go to wasn't on...

We were also supposed to do a tour of Tongatapu with Joe's Tours today, but we had to cancel coz of our flight sutff ups... You need 6 spare hour for this tour... So we're off to do that tomorrow... Yay!!!

Anyway... Everyone here is waiting for me to get off the computer so they can watch Alien...

I gotta go and finish the washing.... In candle light, using an OLD twin tub (google it if your not sure) that's plugged into a power point that's not grounded... And when it drains it drains right onto the floor under your feet so when ou get your feet wet (which is almost inevitable) and you touch the washing machine (also unavoidable) you get a little "shock"...

I LOVE TONGA!!!!!!!! Hehehehe

Love you all...

Peace Out...

Nee x x x

PS - TOok Elli to the doctor in Vava'u (a little old Italian guy - $15 pa'anga) and he prescribed her some cream and some home made elixer.. and she's clearing right up.... And what's better is she is MUCH for bareable... So it looks like we'll be bringing her home after all... hehehe

PSS - Thank you all very much for your lovely comments about our engagement... :) We'll keep you posted for the rest of the shindig/s...
