First Stop - Brunei
So... after a 7 hour flight.. we are now in Brunei... In the airport for 4 hours... yay for us - thank God for the internet! :D

Our flight was pretty good, only a little bit of turbulence... We went with Royal Brunei and I can say they are great to fly with... the amount of food and beverages says it all... The way to a Tongan's heart is through their tummy!

Pretty full flight, no annoying kids kicking my seat... just a young chick beside us who drank almost an entire bottle of Johnny Walker during the flight... She said it was to calm her nerves as she's a nervous flyer... Funny thing is, she's a flight attendant(in London)! Hahaha! Nice girl though...

My first "in flight" toilet experience... I thought I was going to be sucked down the toilet hole! Scary stuff...

We've just had a bite to eat here at the airport... Not the greatest food I've had all year...

Anyway.. I think I managed to keep myself fairly calm today before flying and leaving home and leaving my little baby... I get quite anxious when I travel and the lead up to it... I think it's just a fear of the unknown... Saying good-bye to Elli was ok... I did fight back the tears at the gate and tried not to drag it out too much.. I probably looked like a terrible Mum coz I didn't hold onto her for dear life before saying goodbye.. It would have ended in tears for sure.

Nothing else really to report... Other than I feel sick from eating too much chocolate.. Damn you duty free!! Actually... I don't even think it was duty free... hehe oh well..

Here's a quick story for you...

This morning, while I was getting ready to leave, I got an e-mail (through my blog) from a lady whose name is "Sharon"... That's not her Tongan name, but that's what she goes by. Anyway.. She asks me (rather desperately) if I might know some members of her family, Tongia Ahotahatolu (her Dad) and Meile and Manu Tongia (her grandparents)... A mystery... As Tongia Ahotahatolu is my uncle and Meile and Manu Tongia are my grandparents!!! I e-mailed her back and told her this and she was surprised to get such a quick e-mail back! And very excited to say the least... I called my aunty Tania to ask her about it... As there are a few hidden family type things that I know little to nothing about and turns out, she's my long lost cousin!!

Can anyone see a pattern forming here??? Remember this happened to me in Tonga... So...

Nee + Travelling = Finding long lost family members...

Anyway... It's very exciting... My aunty was over the moon... I can only hope my uncle feels the same way...

Here's Sharon's first "Tongia Contact" for those interested...

So that's my first post away from home... The net here is pretty good which is lucky but I'm not sure how often we'll be able to do this during our stay in Thailand...

Peace Out!

Love Nee x x x

PS - Forgot to mention... The flight to Ho Chi Minh City was cancelled! Why do I care about that?? Coz now that flight is combined with ours making our fligt longer as we have to stop there on the way to Thailand!! Arrrggghhhh!!!!

PPS - Sorry if this post is out of order and doesn't make much sense... I'm working on very little sleep... THe birds were chirping when I went to bed this morning...
