i heart language
I love languages. I think it's incredible that people have invented languages throughout time. It blows my mind to think that we can understand each other by speaking or typing. If we don't understand a word, we have the ability to learn what it means, how it sounds, how it is spelt, and use it in the future. I'm dumbfounded by the way people have invented and accepted languages as common knowledge.

I've always been curious as to who named all of the things we encounter each day. The sky, the colour blue, the neighbour's cat. And who decided what the letter A should looks like? How it should sound? Plurals, prepositions. Crazy stuff? I think so.

I find it amazing that one language like English can be spoken in so many different ways and with so many different accents.

Yeah it's funny - we as humans are practically physically identical - however our abilities to pronounce certain sounds (easily) is subject to what languages we know.

True, even what sounds we can easily hear depends strongly on what language we grow up with. It's a crazy thing language.
