super mario kart
Yesterday I was looking for ways to procrastinate when I remembered how much fun I used to have when playing my sister's Super Nintendo (SNES). Yes, it was a bit embarressing when my older sister who is not a computer geek owned a gaming console that kicked the shit out of anything I had ever owned (which was in fact a SEGA Master System II). I quickly got over that embarressment, and adopted the SNES as my own. The SNES loved me, and I loved the SNES.

My sister only ever owned two SNES games - Super Mario Kart and Super Mario World. I guess it was just fortunate that these were (and in my opinion still are) the greatest console games ever invented. I would play for hours and hours, days on end, competing to get to the last screen, the last boss, the last... well everything. I was obsessed, but me and my one true love were separated when my sister decided she wanted to sell the SNES.

I moved on in my life, accepting the fate of my beloved, and even tried out a few other consoles in the meantime. However, nothing did quite satisfy my gaming needs like 'She' did.

It was all over... until I downloaded a SNES emulator and a few of my favourite game ROMs. I was reunited with my love, and once again have been playing Super Mario Kart at the expense of other "more important" things, such as showering, working, eating, etc. I have actually almost finished the game, and to prove it here is a screenshot of the 100cc cup selection page. As you can see I've taken the gold in the 3 cups for both 50cc and 100cc classes. I've only got one more cup to go (Special Cup Race) and I'll have finished the game.

I ROCK!!!

I too heart the Super Mario Brothers! It was and proberbly will be the only game that I could kick my brothers ass in. Adam you do rock! So do Mario and Luigi!

Actually come to think of it why was it called "Super Mario Brothers"? If I was Luigi I would have been totally pissed for not being in the title....Hmm I think it's time for me to get a job....

Luigi finds comfort in knowing that his green apparel is sexier than Mario's red apparel. I've also heard about an urban legend that claims Luigi gets the ladies more often than his brother does.

I don't know about that first claim. I can't see green overalls being sexier than red ones, but that's just me. Hmm and this urban legend you speak of, I think there was a video circling the net..."Luigi visits the princess' castle"

Hahah... Luigi is taller and slightly slimmer than Mario. He can jump higher, and is smarter than Mario. It's all true!!

Ummm.... Girls and boys... can we PLEASE stop encouraging this child-ish male!! He does infact neglect (some/most) of his responsibilities...

So... though I too enjoyed Mario... I must demand that I get back my Adam....
