She's carked it. She's met her maker. She's an ex-BBQ. You read it right, she's done her years of community service.

Whenever I think about her I get a twinkle in my eye, and a bit of saliva drips from the corner of my mouth. She has been a very faithful and committed piece of BBQ equipment, and will be sorely missed.

I won't forget the times I strolled downstairs, with a couple of raw steaks, some sliced onion, maybe a few eggs, and returned with a great feast for me and my woman. Or the times I would wake her up early on a Saturday or Sunday morning greeting her with bacon and eggs, a few mushrooms and some tomatoes with brown sugar and basil. Those were the days.

It was a sad evening tonight as I wandered downstairs to clean my love and discovered that one of her burners had completely rusted and split into two pieces. I cried for almost an hour.

Until I found a BBQs Galore catalogue. I'm going there tomorrow to check out the latest models. Hopefully I can find a suitable replacement.

By the way, Ed and I will be running the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run this Sunday. After the run we'll be having a cooked breakfast back at the ranch (at our house), and everyone is invited. When we're done eating we'll be driving down to the Gold Coast for a bit of swimmy swimmy. Everyone who reads this is invited, so let me know if you're interested!!!
