winter in brisbane
I can't believe how cold it has been recently! Currently it's 8°C at 8am in the morning. It shouldn't be this cold in Brisbane. I'm typing with my gloves on, with my beanie over my head, wearing my big ski jacket, and ugg boots on my feet - and I'm STILL freezing cold.
I wish during winter I could live down at Perisher Blue. "Why?", do you ask? "It's even colder down there!". Well the simple fact is - HEATING. Sure it might be cold outside, but you're always wearing lots of warm clothes, but wherever you go inside there is always some kind of indoor heating.
Our house doesn't have any kind of insulation, so it's really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer. Furthermore, the computer is located in the western part of our house, so no sun gets to it until after midday.
I'm tempted to go back to bed until then.
In other news, we have finally secured our spot to get married - New Farm Park, next to the Brisbane Powerhouse. And also, today is Ellianah's first day at day care. Like any worrying parent I hope she goes ok, but knowing Elli, I'm sure she'll be fine.
