still alive in Phuket
The "free breakfast" that was included in our room price wasn't too bad after all, except for the fact we had to listen to a loud German salesman trying to sell travel packages to some other tourists.
Eventually we agreed to hire scooters for the day. We rode around to the southern part of Phuket, swimming at the beautiful Kata Beach. Becoming a part of Thailand's crazy transport system was quite interesting. It was a bit hectic riding around Patong Beach (where we are staying - very busy place), but the southern areas weren't quite as bad.
I really enjoyed myself, although Nee didn't quite share the same joyful experience as I did. She was much more afraid of the traffic than I was, and because she was riding slower up and down the hills, people were beeping at her a bit, which obviously wasn't helping.
I think tomorrow we will do an island-hopping tour. Just have to check the weather report. Catch yas later!
It's ok Nee you get used to the traffic on two wheels after a while. Just make sure they know who's boss and you will be fine.
Glad you are still having fun.
