What is ifunk?
A definition of this website that can only be described by the twisted brain of Brian "Mr Cow" Collyer.
I've come to realise that ifunk
is more than just a lifestyle choice for a generation of hard-drinking,
fast-driving, good-looking youngsters jaded by the teetotaling
(is that how you spell it?) slow-lane, ugly world we've been
forced to live in.
ifunk is an exploration of the existentialist moment, a tapestry of life, a mantra for fulfilment, a religion for self-preservation, a bible for living in a world where your take-away wants to eat you right on back.
Harken unto the word of ifunk, for ye true believers shall receive your reward in the next life, the one just past your screen, just outside your window, just in front of you, just inside your head.
ifunk is a phenomology of life, an exploration of desire, a freeze-frame view of the workings of jealousy, hatred, anger, and most important of all - love. See the jealousy with which Née's car views the more successful tow truck, the hatred of the angry sky, and the love with which Adam uses his digital camera.
ifunk is art as life, life as art, and everything else mash potato. How can you describe ifunk except as art in progress, compelling, powerful, never-ending, where will this crazy ride take us? I don't know but wherever it is you're gonna need a towel and a change of underwear, I can tell you that much.
